NSW/ACT - Coach Induction
The Introduction to Coaching program is designed to support new coaches in developing foundational coaching skills. This is an in person workshop, during the course you will go through the 6 core coaching competencies and have an opportunity to run through practical skills and activities.
Coaches attending an Introduction to Coaching course will receive 50 coaching points towards their accreditation.
We ask coaches to wear workout/casual clothes, to get involved and experience some hands on drills and skills.

The Elevate Bundle course offering combines all three of Elevate programs; The Coaching Environment, Coach at Training & Coach the Game. Within the Bundle, participants will explore their coaching philosophy, building relationships and creating a positive football environment. Coaches will learn key skill acquisition principles, training session design, building a game plan and investigate strategies and tactics of coaching on game day.

Welcome to the Advanced Coaching program for 2025.
A new coaching course available for experienced community footy and talent pathway coaches in Queensland who aspire to upskill and progress their coaching credentials.
Formally known as the Level 3 Coaching Course the new look Advanced Coaching Practices includes a more rounded and balanced program including formal and informal learning opportunities and further real life coaching experiences.
Coaches who complete this course will:
1. Become a GOLD coach through completing this course
2. Have face-to-face workshop delivery from subject matter experts in the field
3. Have a Gold standard coach mentor
4. Have networking opportunities and experiences, including a unique “Game Day Experience” to celebrate the completion of the course.
The course will be a blended program delivered virtually and face to face over an 8-month period.

TAS - Elevate: Coach at Training Workshop
ABOUT
Elevate: Coach at Training
Focused on the single Coach at Training competency, this Elevate course provides practical techniques for planning and conducting effective training sessions. It begins with a session on skill acquisition examining key principles like repetition, variability, relevance, and the challenge point that must be considered when planning training activities. Participants will explore constraints-based coaching and how to design training sessions that effectively integrate these principles.
The course also includes the designing of energizers, fundamental skill activities, decision-making and team tasks. Throughout the course, coaches will focus on identifying specific learning outcomes for their players, determining what they want the players to learn, and clarifying the focus of each activity. This approach ensures that training sessions are purposeful, relevant, and challenging, fostering meaningful skill development in players. Weather permitting, this course incorporates an outdoor practical session.
